Kids Halloween Activities - Keep Kids Busy This Halloween

There are many different kids Halloween activities that you can use to keep kids busy in the lead up to Halloween. As Halloween gets closer kids will get more and more excited so having a few activities to keep them occupy might also make your life a little quieter.

There are loads of different kids Halloween activities that you can consider using with the kids. You could try Halloween crafts, creating Halloween decorations, Halloween games, Halloween puzzles, pumpkin carving, pumpkin painting or Halloween cooking.

If you decide to do Halloween crafts, consider having the kids make something that will also double as Halloween decorations. That way the kids can enjoy creating their item and then continue to enjoy as it is displayed as part of the Halloween decorations. Kids can create Halloween wreaths, with dead twigs, spiders and artificial webs. They can also make ghosts to hang inside or to hang outside from trees. Bats and spiders can be made to hang about also. Tombstones are also good for decorating outside.

Of course the favorite kids Halloween activities are often those that work with pumpkins or make pumpkins. Kids can have a go at pumpkin carving to make Jack O' Lanterns but will of course require lots of supervision for this one. Pumpkins can be used for other things also so consider painting pumpkins to decorate them instead. Kids can also have a go at making pumpkins with paper plates or clay.

Halloween cooking is another fun kids Halloween activity that will keep kids busy and may also bring out their creative side. Try giving them the name of a food and see how creative they can be at coming up with a recipe. Ask them to create Yummy Babies Fingers, Witches' Brew, Eyeball Surprise or Bat Wings. If they don't come up with their own recipes to create then search online for Halloween recipes.

If you want some quiet time as Halloween approaches, then there are some quiet kids Halloween activities that will keep them busy and occupied. Try a Halloween puzzle. You can search online or it is fun to make your own. Make a Halloween word find by drawing a grid and putting Halloween words into it. List the words underneath and then fill the empty space with other letters.

Another great Halloween puzzle is to find Halloween riddles and write each riddle on a card and then each answer a separate card. Kids can the have a go at matching the riddles to the answers. This also makes a great Halloween game. It can be played the concentration game where all cards are turned face down and players take turns at turning over two cards and trying to make a match.
